Summary

Kate Maxwell (Maureen O'Hara), the feisty proprietress of a saloon in 1870s Wyoming Territory, is torn between her attraction to promoter Jim Averell (William Bishop) and the town sheriff, Stan Blaine (Alex Nicol). But Kate soon learns Averell has been using her to smuggle contraband beef. Kate and Sheriff Blaine struggle to set things right again, though Blaine initially doesn't trust Kate. Alexander Scourby co-stars as cattle king Reece Duncan.
