Summary

Corinne Griffith stars as Emma Hart, a peasant girl transformed into a noblewoman by the winds of fortune and a marriage of convenience to British ambassador Sir William Hamilton (H.B. Warner). Upon making the acquaintance of Lord Horatio Nelson (Victor Varconi) -- a heroic veteran of the Napoleonic wars -- Emma embarks on an adulterous liaison that turns them both into social pariahs.
