Summary

While hawking "socks for God" in a podunk Arkansas town, a pair of small-time swindlers posing as holy men (Bob Hoskins and Antonio Banderas) become embroiled in a local drama involving a rising serial killer known as "the White River Kid" (Wes Bentley). Ellen Barkin, Randy Travis, Swoosie Kurtz, Beau Bridges and former "first brother" Roger Clinton co-star in this comedy of unconventional characters, based on the book by John Fergus Ryan.
