Summary

After fleeing to New York City to escape her rigid Amish father, aspiring dancer Rachel Schpitendavel (Britt Ekland) lands a job at Minsky's Burlesque House, where she captures the hearts of a comic (Jason Robards) and his partner (Norman Wisdom). Meanwhile, a moral crusader (Denholm Elliott) is making life tough for the club owner (Elliott Gould). Fine performances punctuate this bawdy comedy also starring Bert Lahr (in his final role).
