Summary

Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy head the cast in this entertaining yarn about a pair of wildcatters out to make a fortune in 1918 Texas. Partners and friends John McMasters (Gable) and Jonathan Sand (Tracy) strike it rich in the oil business but go their separate ways after the woman they both love (Claudette Colbert) ultimately comes between them. When McMasters faces antitrust charges years later, will Sand stand up for his erstwhile cohort?
