Summary

In this drama based on the novel by John William Corrington, Albert Sidney Finch (James Garner), a cranky loner, is forced out of seclusion when he takes on the cause of a childhood friend, Gee Pennywell (Bill Cobbs), who refuses to accept a Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery during World War II. Meanwhile, Albert's godson, Billy Wendell (Norm Skaggs), is in a bind and needs his help.
