Summary
This classic Italian giallo flick -- a genre known for its glamorous women, lone investigators and obvious red herrings -- follows Inspector Pontaine (Robert Sacchi, who made a career out of his uncanny resemblance to American icon Humphrey Bogart) on his search for a prostitute's murderer. But the man he finally fingers (Pietro Martellanza) swears he's innocent, even after he's convicted and sentenced to die.
