Summary

Jonathan Nossiter directs this gleefully chaotic comedy that follows three sets of outsiders as they explore -- and to varying degrees get transformed by -- Rio de Janeiro's steamy and wildly eclectic society. While a do-good American diplomat (Bill Pullman) wanders Rio's slums and a British plastic surgeon (Charlotte Rampling) tells patients &NFi;not&NFi_; to have surgery, an oblivious French couple (Irène Jacob and Jean-Marc Roulot) films a documentary.
