Summary

After the death of her firefighter brother on Sept. 11, 2001, Kim Thomas (Ruby Handler) finds herself growing estranged from her traumatized husband, Jim (Judge Reinhold), who is also a firefighter, and she takes their son, Clay (Dylan Patton), to the Midwest to live with her father (Edward Asner). Clay resents the move, but when his down-to-earth grandfather gives him a dog named Sheeba, Clay learns about responsibility, love and forgiveness.
