Summary

Mickey Rooney stars in this heartfelt true story as clown Jack Thum, who, with his wife, Shirlee (Anne Jackson), take in 37 orphans over the course of their marriage. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, Jack fears for Shirlee and the children still in their care. Motivated by his testy hospital roommate (Red Buttons), Jack finds the strength to make the most of his remaining months. Rooney's former child co-star, Jackie Cooper, directs.
