Summary

A baseball star (Bernie Mac) who retired with exactly 3,000 hits -- and soon dubbed himself "Mr. 3000" -- learns that three of his hits didn't count, and now he's making a comeback at age 47 to get three hits and preserve his nickname and Hall of Fame chances. Figuring he'll play just long enough to collect his hits, the slugger finds that his love for the game is renewed -- and that he might be able to make amends for his selfish career.
