Summary

Silver-screen icon James Stewart plays baseball star Robert "Dutch" Holland, a third baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals who's forced to trade the glamour of big-time sports for the anonymous and dangerous existence of a World War II bomber pilot. Dutch's wife, Sally (June Allyson), stands steadfastly by her husband, a former Air Force lieutenant colonel, as he's recalled to duty in the middle of a brilliantly successful baseball career.
