Summary

Richard Dreyfuss stars as Duddy Kravitz, a Jewish teenager from Montreal who dreams of carving out a better life for himself, whether that means waiting tables, selling pinball machines or smuggling heroin across the border. But ultimately, his unchecked greed and ambition lead him to betray those who love him. Adapted from a novel by Mordecai Richler, the film received an Oscar nod for its screenplay.
